Tissue Transglutaminase Ab Accuracy

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

I had this test "Tissue Transglutaminase AB" (lab request description) 4 years ago. Does anyone know how accurate this test is?

Also, at time I had been on a gluten free diet for a few weeks. It came back negative. I know - everyone says I should disregard this because of not eating gluten. However, I found some information that short periods of a gluten-free diet actually won't affect test results. I have found some information that says you have to be off gluten (or on gluten in the reverse scenario) for several months for it to affect test results.

Anyone have any clear research proving or disproving this? Either medical research or personal test experience?
