  1. I went to LabCorp 9 days ago and still have not gotten results. Am I being impatient?
  2. Oops . . . I meant to ask if anyone knows how long I should expect to wait for DNA results from LabCorp.
  3. He is on dairy right now but, he was eating dairy the first time around and was fine. No allergies showed up. He used to have an egg allergy that he has apparently grown out of. I requested testing for myself since I have symptoms as well, but have not gotten the results back yet. I'm hoping if it's positive that my husband will take this all a little...
  4. My son has had diarrhea for months. We tried various things including taking him off juice, dairy, and giving him probiotics before I decided to take him off gluten. When I tried a gluten free diet the diarrhea almost completely cleared up within the first day or two. He had an appt. with his allergist anyway so I suggested testing him for celiac with...
  5. I really appreciate all the leads on good beer!
  6. Due to the depression I've been treated for on and off over the years, I've been tested for thyroid issues. Everything seems fine. I was also concerned about this since my sister has thyroid issues. Brain fog and fatigue are only a couple of my symptoms. I also have frequent diarrhea, bloated stomach, joint pain, and muscle aches. I'm also starting to...
  7. You did not come across harshly. I understand the benefits of being diagnosed early. It certainly does put a strain on a marriage. My whole family is hoping that it's not Celiac. I am hoping it is because at least I can finally be free from all the symptoms in my son and myself. I will have to come to terms with the lifestyle changes but, if it means...
  8. Yes, you are right. Thanks.
  9. My son had bloodwork done yesterday. He's only been gluten free for a few days so I'm hoping it doesn't skew the results. I was curious what his results would be before I contacted my doctor about myself. I probably should just go ahead and call anyway seeing as many of the symptoms and related illnesses run in my family and I wouldn't be surprised if...
  10. I was given medicine and it did eventually go away. I'm just so new at all of this. I'm trying to put all the pieces together. Thanks for your response.
  11. Hi, I am new here and very suspicious that my son and I have Celiac. My fatigue is constant and I always attributed it to my horrible case of mono when I was 19 that I never seemed to completely recover from. I have not changed my own diet yet but have changed my son's. My husband is constantly calling me lazy. My brain fog also elicits negative comments...
  12. I was wondering if anyone's DH has ever been misdiagnosed as impetigo. Ever since I was a child I will break out in a rash which I think is poison ivy and when it eventually gets to the point of going to the doctor they tell me that I have impetigo. I keep myself clean so, I really don't think I should be developing impetigo on a regular basis. Thanks...
  13. The first two days he had the first semi-formed poop that I had seen in months. Then back to the usual. He has been upset when he has to poop but that could be attributed to our recent attempts at potty training (which I have decided to give up on for the time being). Today he had a less watery poop but I wouldn't call it formed. I hope you don't mind...
  14. How long should I keep him on the diet before I should notice results?
  15. Hi, My two year old son has been having diarrhea since before last Christmas. I tried taking him off of dairy and juice with no improvement. We also gave him probiotics. My husband thinks it's just toddler diarrhea. He has not had a normal poop for months. My doctor gave me a referral to a GI specialist but said that my husband is most likely correct...
