ARCHIVED Issues With Milkkrishna posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease I was wondering if anyone here has issues with milk? I tried lactaid milk and still have issues. Whenever I consume it, I get tightness around my abdominal area, anxiety/panic feeling and my chest feels heavy and I also feel little dizzy and weird. Then I have constipation and feel bloated. I also think certain types of milk cause my symptoms to flare up...

ARCHIVED Anxiety Feeling After Consuming Certain Types Of Foodkrishna posted a topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut Can leaky gut cause panic/anxiety attacks? I am gluten free for 7 months and I do get anxiety/panic attacks sometimes when I eat certain types of food but not really sure which foods exactly trigger them. The anxiety/panic feeling has gone down quite a bit since I went gluten free. However, I think some secondary intolerance is causing them. Could it be yeast...

ARCHIVED What Are The Common Signs Of Improvementkrishna posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease I'm on a gluten free diet for 7 months now.. When I was diagnosed I had lost about 30 lbs in just 3 months without even exercising! I had severer panic/anxiety attacks and felt miserable. Right now my anxiety has gone down quite a bit but do have symptoms sometimes. Also, I gained about 10 lbs back in the last 6 months, most of them gained in last 2 months...

ARCHIVED Deficiencies And Recovery Timekrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease Thanks everyone, I will take your advice seriously! My doctor told me to take B12 sub-lingual 5mg or 5,000mcg daily. He said its the highest dose he sells in his clinic. Do you think it is too strong to take daily? I was reading online that between 1mg-3mg B12 sub-lingual is recommended. Please advice! Thanks again!

ARCHIVED Deficiencies And Recovery Timekrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease Thanks! My doctor also recommended the sublingual type and I've got it already. I keep having panicky/nervous like feeling and feel low sometimes and at other times I feel normal but not so great either. There's always tightness around my abdomen area. Does anyone have the same or similar type of experience?

ARCHIVED Deficiencies And Recovery Timekrishna posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease Hi, I've been on a gluten free diet for 6-7 months now and have been taking B12 injections every month and Vitamin D3 pills. Today my doctor went over my report and found out I am really low in Iron. Previously I was medium-low but now I'm low but not anemic (still not deficient). So he started me on Iron supplements and will do my tests again in a month...

ARCHIVED Secondary Food Intolerance Caused By Glutenkrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease Thanks everyone.. the most worrying symptom I have is chest tightness and anxiety attacks after eating food (sometimes). I still have random bouts of headaches, constipation is better since I'm taking Trifala (herbal medicine given by my doctor). I'm also taking some digestive enzymes. I think I'm having secondary food intolerance symptoms. I've narrowed...

ARCHIVED Secondary Food Intolerance Caused By Glutenkrishna posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease I was wondering if you guys have any secondary intolerance too apart from gluten and how long did it take to resolve the secondary intolerance? Do you have more than one secondary food intolerance? Thanks!

ARCHIVED Anxiety While Detoxingkrishna replied to mylilcappi's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease I still have anxiety almost daily even after being gluten free for 4 months now. I think you might be having a secondary food intolerance. For me, I think yeast is causing my anxiety so I'm eliminating it now and feeling much better but still not 100% anxiety free. Try removing dairy too from your diet!

ARCHIVED Indigestion, Mood Swings, Newly Gluten-Free--Is This "normal"?krishna replied to IrishHeart's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease I too have had severe mood swings and anxiety. I still have them but I think I've now narrowed it down to yeast. Anything that I eat with high yeast content gives me anxiety, mood swings, constipation, head aches etc etc.. list goes on! I can tolerate a little bit but too much really screws me up for at least a week and I think I'm having it as a secondary...

ARCHIVED Breathing Issues After Exercising And Pressure In Headkrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease Some updates: I went and checked all the labels of gluten free chips and breads that I have been consuming and found out that all of them had some type of yeast. Most of them had at least yest extract. I was only eating rice and quinoa for 3 months and recently started to introduce gluten free breads into my diet (about a month or so back). Now I'm thinking...

ARCHIVED Breathing Issues After Exercising And Pressure In Headkrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease BTW nice to know that you're feeling better and getting rid of the allergies! Do you mind sharing how much time it took for you to reach this stage? i.e. getting rid of the allergies from the time of diagnosis! Do you maintain a strict gluten free diet? Have you got cross contaminated sometimes? Also do you happen to know the technical reasons why we develop...

ARCHIVED Breathing Issues After Exercising And Pressure In Headkrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease I think I'm fine with potatoes. So far I think tomatoes, yeast (maybe) and dairy products have been causing my issues but I'm still no sure!

ARCHIVED Breathing Issues After Exercising And Pressure In Headkrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease Thanks for the advice and consolation! My doctor didn't test me for different types of allergies. He only tested me for soy, milk, eggs and gluten. I was negative for all except gluten! Do you recommend I see an allergist too? Now I'm trying to make a list of foods to keep track. I think tomatoes, yeast or dairy so far have been causing my issues. The most...

ARCHIVED Breathing Issues After Exercising And Pressure In Headkrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease I had a really bad reaction after eating tomatoes yesterday. Felt anxious and was breathing hard. I still feel a little anxious right now but better overall. Did anyone here react to tomatoes? or had similar experience?

ARCHIVED Breathing Issues After Exercising And Pressure In Headkrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease Sure, but I think some foods elevate anxiety. In my case I think its milk even though I tested negative for milk allergy. I think I can tolerate a little yogurt and cheese but too much of it causes my symptoms. Although, my anxiety symptoms are less severe than they used to be 6 - 7 months back, they're still annoying! I also noticed that whenever I am anxious...

ARCHIVED Breathing Issues After Exercising And Pressure In Headkrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease Thanks for replying everyone! I did have borderline low B12 and Vitamin D deficiency and I have been taking B12 shots and Vitamin D supplements from last 8 months or so. My doctor (who's a gluten intolerance expert) says my anxiety symptoms are mostly due intestine permeability allowing toxins to flow directly into the blood stream and then this has an adverse...

ARCHIVED Breathing Issues After Exercising And Pressure In Headkrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease Yes I've been exercising harder than what I did today and this didn't happen. It happened just today, I feel very panicky and nervous for no reason and the only thing that I did started a little dairy a week back or so. I've noticed that some of my muscles twitch, like my right arm, some muscles in my thigh etc.. I'm not sure exactly but looks like dairy...

ARCHIVED Breathing Issues After Exercising And Pressure In Headkrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease My doctor gave me some digestive enzymes to take and I've been feeling a little better now after taking them. I think I have some degree of lactose intolerance also going on. Do you guys here think that my symptoms could be just related to anxiety caused by lactose intolerance? I think I will stay dairy free now too.. How long should I be dairy free till...

ARCHIVED Breathing Issues After Exercising And Pressure In Headkrishna posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease Hi, I've been diagnosed as non-celiac gluten intolerant and have been gluten free for about 4 months now. Today I did some running and right after it I felt some pressure in my head, feel panicky, my breathing is heavy and body and chest muscles feel tight. Could this be related to gluten intolerance even after being glulten free for 4 months now? I have...

ARCHIVED Possible Explanation For Pounding Heart Beat After Eating Mealskrishna replied to krishna's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease From what I understand, tachycardia is different from pounding heart beat.. tachycardia is when you have a heart rate of 100+ beats per minute and pounding heart beat is just your normal heart rate (mine is around 60 - 75 bpm). You could have tachycardia and pounding heart beat but in my case I only have the pounding heart beat sensation. I have tightness...

Hi, I met my doctor recently to talk about the pounding heart beat symptom after eating meals and got some answers. According to him, it happens due to delay in gastric emptying. The food break down flow process in your body is in haywire and there's a timing mismatch between the time the food enters and the production of enzymes in pancreas. This causes...
