  1. I know not everyone gets a Epi pen but due to the nature of mine I have to have one in case a reaction starts in my airway, but when I'm itching or burning or getting edema or all three I just use Benadryl Allergy Liqui Gels no matter how careful you are your going to be exposed to gluten and wheat and dairy I refuse to suffer I have a severe intolerance to gluten I'll get 10-40 welts ranging in size from dimes to double hand sized anywhere and everywhere and of course they itch, now my legs they will burn and itch and sometimes swell up 2 to 3 times there normal size I can get this just by holding bread lol never tried just looking at a slice but it wouldn't surprise me if I broke out. Since my sister has Crohn's I get tested for that and they routinely tested me for Celiac as well so luckily I got diagnosed relatively early, that was about 4 years ago and it's also good to be tested for Crohn's as it's much more common in Celiac sufferers. Everyone should be acutely aware that DH can cause swelling anywhere, including your airway.
  2. I would ask your Doctor to run some Liver tests while your at it,I assume they ran a kidney test with the blood in the urine,if your still itching then try some Benedryl Allergy Liquid Gels. always keep these on me as I have severe reactions to even a minor amount of Gluten. Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride is the same compound that hospitals give to patients having allergic reactions.I always have some on me just in case and gels relieve the itching in like 10 to 20 mins.
