  1. I have insurance but from my understanding, these tests can set a person back a grand or two even with insurance. This test I'm referring to can identify celiac markers with greater specificity and you don't have to eat gluten before undergoing the process. Maybe it's not publicly available yet.
  2. What is this "new" celiac test and how do I request it?
  3. I suspect I have celiac disease and would like to have it confirmed before committing to a lifelong diet. The problem is that the blood test and biopsy cost thousands. Is there a way to get a definitive diagnosis without paying an arm and a leg?
  4. I've experienced some symptoms such as abdominal distention and joint pain and discovered that I was deficient in B12 and Vitamin D. However, I've never had an issue with bowel movements (unless I'm undergoing a radical change to my diet). Would this suggest that I'm adequately absorbing most nutrients?

  6. this might sound like a silly question but i'm a little paranoid. i started a gluten-free diet a few weeks ago and i'm worried the small amount of tartar on my front teeth is counterproductive. i've read that dental plaque actually destroys the gliadin protein but i'm just not sure.
