I am new to the forum but found out about my celiac january 2010 and no one has really grasped the concept in my entire household or my family unless they have a medical degree or are like my sister and know others who have been exposed to it. I was pregnant when it really started acting up and was always in the hospital and dehyradted and being sent by ambulance fine one minute and all the sudden pale and vomiting and of course bowels out of control with in minutes in need of full oxygen etc. It has really torn my life upside down, even my relationship, which is no more. It is interesting to see that others have found out that others who had gluten problems were just as bad as myself and some were diagnosed with certain mental issues and with the removal of gluten they need no more medication.

How are others managing? How has it affected others?
