  1. One time, an in-law made me special chocolates that were excellent with nuts and fruit in them. She then proceeded to put them on a plate for everyone to serve and took graham crackers from a box and clumsily decorated the outer regions of the plate with them. I was horrified and stopped her and stated I needed to remove the desert before she finished decorating...
  2. Be careful, sweetners especially in large amounts like mannitol, sorbitol, etc. give me lots of intestinal problems and I steer clear of them even in small amounts.
  3. My advice as a recently diagnosed person is that you were using coffee even decaf to a certain degree for energy and to rehydrate. It is now no longer needed and you simply are having too much for a healthy person who is digesting and feeling a lot more energy and health. Unless the coffe is sharing the same euiopment to be processed as wheat or another...
  4. I have bought other Glutino products and have been less than satisfied. Their breadcrumbs are too heavy and pasty. The new bread I did buy at Whole Foods was especially good(Udi's) and except for the size of the slices, very much like real bread. I think they are beginning to stock it in larger amounts. Therefore, to keep it stocked and to reward Whole...
  5. I do not have a definitive answer but let's assume that everything is now absorbed better and faster nutritionally. This is the reason many of my bad health symptoms disappeared after a few years. Why not alcohol?
  6. In my opinion and from my experience, unless each ingredient is bought as produce and not processed, it is a mine field. McCormick Dark Chili Powder -This is suspect as many seasonings especially commercial ones use flour to keep them easy to dispense or pour. Kirkland Minced Onion - Sometime the preparation of onions is synonymous with wheat and another...
  7. Here it goes and they are real experiences in the last 6 months for me. Anyone else want to contribute. Some of them are amazing and other understandable, but be careful, you must always be on the lookout for others assumptions. Instructions: No flour, bread, pasta or coatings of wheat, rye or barley of any kind in any form please. This is simply one...
  8. Joann, I had both too. Therefore, I know the difference. One has bumps that appear and are very itchy and almost look like miniature pimples. The other has the symptoms you described. My father had it on his chest as I did for many years. Sometime on my arms and waist. The doctor gave up and finally stated he had "scabies". Where would he get scabies...
  9. Tricky. If as I making my partner a sandwich, I segregate it and all utensils, and wash my hands each time I cross over, most times no reaction, but sometimes some, even if I am careful. Remember, all you need it an eight of a teaspoon to cause a major reaction. Therefore, I would not make a pizza from scratch for your friends if I were you.
  10. It may be for others. Lotions and potions included, if they contain gluten may cause a reaction in some. Therefore, it is best to avoid them. Remember, for some, Celiac has no symptoms, but the damage is being done. For me, even a soup base that was once used for pasta or French fries in the same oil as fried goods with batter or flour cause a reaction...
  11. I certainly agree with all the others here and am not a doctor, but this doctor may be good for your gall bladder, but not Celiac disease. First, when I did go to a doctor I was wheat, barley and rye free for about three years and my tests were negative. Therefore, he stated if you ate those at one time and they made you sick and I told him the symptoms...
