had a good day today.I met gfinnebraska, (thank you SO much for all the information and mixes)what a sweetie!had turkey and vegetables for lunch, had a chocolate craving this afternoon, Mom suggested having a couple of chocolate chips with a few almonds. it worked, got the craving out of my system.dinner was a chicken breast, mashed potatoes, cucumbers, red pepper strips and kraft ranch dressing.hubby and I talked for a long time about this and how we both need to take it more seriously. He said he's more than willing to eat a meat and vegetable diet with some fruit. He feels better without the gluten as well. hooray! HUGE hurdle there! Now...what to do with all the crackers and pretzels he brought home this morning :(Mom told me that some more family members were diagnosed with celiac disease. Dad's cousin and his grandkids tested positive very recently. It is rampant thru my Dad's family.RA isn't as bad today. left thumb, left elbow right ankle and wrists are still affected today but not nearly as badly as this last week. I really wonder if it was the cheese and milk that triggered this latest flare. Stomach is a little upset tonight, had a soft stool, no pain(!)a little gurgly feeling, very fatigued tonight. I think the fatigue is from the heat and ra, the stool is probably from my not having gluten for two days and things are starting to move. GFinNebraska gave me a bread mix that I'm going to bake tomorrow. I'm looking forward to a healthy, guiltfree sandwich. I'll make the apple cinnamon pancakes Tuesday morning before P. goes to work. I strongly believe he has celiac disease and will do all I can to keep gluten out of his diet. As a 15 year old though, he has to take a more active role. He has been so careful of his diet since he was 7 years old because of hypoglycemia, I can understand why he doesn't want to have to monitor it even more closely, however, this is a fact of life, it wont' go away. That's one thing I have to keep in mind for myself as well. past bedtime, boys are still on the living room floor playing poker. they beat up on me and I was out of the game early. now, that is so not fair, I teach them games and they quickly get better than me! little buggers ;)ann
