  3. You guys said we couldn't go to Sylvia's unless we shoveled! I assume that mens snow. You can do 'pulled pork' with chicken, too! I ruined some chicken one day, got way too frikkin dry. So I shredded it and put it in a pot with barbecue sauce, worked great! Sorry I disappeareded, been CRAZY busy!

  6. Where on earth do you live that baked beans, sausage and peppers, and corn on the cob is carney food? In New England that's a normal dinner! Carney food out here is always fried/battered/basted/beaten or covered in caramel.

It works great! Does fall apart a bit scooping the edges, never was good at getting a lasagna to hold together. Really intensifies the flavors, it was almost too tomato...

  16. You'll get used to the pasta, it has a particular look to it when it's done, I don't even need to taste test it anymore. It gets kinda clear and a little floppy when it's done just right. Well, for my taste anyway. Tonight's dinner will be spaghetti squash and sausage with fried onions and garlic in olive oil, and maybe tomato sauce, maybe not.....

  21. We've been living together for over five years. There's plenty of states where I can call him hubby! Not this one... but anyway. We tend to say hubby and wife, especially with strangers. Easier.
  22. I've seen 'pluots' in the store. Same thing? Hmmm..... Dindin last night was eggs and toast for hubby and chicken salad sammiches for me. He is out working in this 98 degree day, mowing lawns. I know he won't be home until at least 8. Any ideas for dinner? Trying to decide what will be good after a day like that.... With another one coming tomorrow...
