  1. I am self diagnosed. My daughter went gluten free and her IBS went away so I tried it. After one week it became clear that dairy was also a problem so I am now gluten and dairy free 2 and half years. I would not go back! I now have Igg kappa MGUS which is a precursor to Multiple Myeloma. I find it interesting that the cancer is directed at the gluten antibody, not coincidental. Live healthy, don't eat gluten if it makes you ill.
  2. I just found your post, bad timimg i know. These symptoms could be Myeloma. I'm being checked right now.
  3. The best reasons may come later. I am self diagnosed, 51 years old, 1.5 years gluten free and dairy free. 25 years of horrible IBS made it worth the switch. I am now looking at a possible case of Multiple Myeloma, a cancer that works on the IgG and IgA antibodies just like celiac. Stay away from gluten, it can affect your long term health in ways you never imagined!
  4. Lactose is a major offender. I had to give up dairy about 6 days into my gluten free diet. Even some oils and other foods may be a problem. Keep track and you can weed out the offenders. For me, no gluten, no dairy, no cottonseed oil. 18 months, I feel much better, not 100% yet but getting there. It takes times. Hang in there. I even take lactaid with some of my medications that are lactose coated. It helps. I'm lucky I can tolerate soy, soy ice cream, not bad. Try it!

  6. No! Never intentionally, I've been glutened by restaurants a few times when I wasn't supposed to be glutened but I have never cheated. 16 Months so far, yes pizza and cinnamon rolls call to me but I always remember the end of the story!

  8. Gave up gluten 15 months ago, within a week I was lactose intollerant in an extreme way. I still can't have dairy.

  10. I have a baked potato and chili from Wendy's. Choices are very very limited. I'm gluten and dairy free which further limits. I do like the laura bars or almonds. I keep a can of almonds in each vehicle.
  11. I found that lactose was a real problem for me after I gave up gluten. I am still gluten and dairy free after almost 11 months. I have severe anxiety problems! They are getting better, I think. Once you give up the gluten you may need to avoid dairy too.
  12. Cottonseed oil is of the devil! Makes me sick as a dog and it's in everything, peanut butter, roasted nuts, chips, try avoiding the cottonseed oil. I feel much better without it. No gluten, no dairy, no cottonseed oil, I'm right as rain! Blue Diamond does not have cottonseed oil, Frito's do not, many of the organic peanut butters do not. You just have to be vigilant, as you well know.....
  13. I have a gluten type reaction with cottonseed oil, it's in a lot of nuts, butters and chips. Could be the oil giving you fits. Evidently cottonseed oil is cheap, when did we start eating cotton?

  15. I had to give up dairy a week after going gluten free, never really had much problem with it before. It feels like gluten, same symptoms, when I have dairy of any sort. Now, 8 months gluten and dairy free, things are better.
