  1. It's totally true!! Now I thought I was having a bad day until I got a voicemail from my girlfriend asking how to get raw eggs out of the carpet... I asked what happened. She went to change her clothes and brush her teeth to take her 3 and 4 year olds to gymnastics. In that 5 minutes, they got a dozen eggs out of the kitchen fridge AND a dozen out...
  2. Loves to you Loey!!!!! Ya... Wish I would have seen that manual... Although the first one was the PERFECT baby and PERFECT toddler and I fooled myself into thinking that it was because I was the PERFECT mother.... The the 2nd one was born and I was knocked off my pedestal REALLLLLY quickly
  3. I think I'll take my chances In 10 years Max, God willing, will graduate from high school and then other than an occasional birthday party, wedding, etc. here and there, there will be NO reason to have to speak with or deal with Jesse. THAT, my friends, will be a big part of that happily ever after!!
  4. Totally plan B. Sounds wonderful!!! My 5 year plan... Max-get him to middle school advancing 1 grade per year, finishing each year at least at grade level. Madeleine-survive puberty. 1 year plan-move in with the Captain. Live happily ever after
  5. Nik  I am so sorry to hear of this news. Message me anytime!! Tis still pretty fresh... Love you!!
  6. I MISSSSSSS YOUUUUUU!!!!!! Good news by the way... My schedule isn't changing!! So I can be home with my kiddo's every day after school!!! YAY!!!
  7. Thanks! That's good to know. I know they do have to have so many service hours at the middle school, I'll look into it!
  8. Seriously?? After a vacation? I've been here for almost 13 years and my supervisor is trying to figure out a way to make it work. As far as the tutoring goes, if they end up making me do 12's, then I will try to work something out with my sister at least one day a week to work with him. He'd have to go to after school care on the days that I work and...
  9. Here's the dilemma: Current schedule is 5 days a week, 630a-230p. I'm home every day after school even when I don't have them overnight. I never go more than 2 days without seeing them and I'm there to work with Max on his reading and other homework-which his dad does not do. They want me to move back to working 3 12's. I have the kids every Monday...
  10. Gofer it! Today is a blah day. Still no word on the schedule change. I'd just like to know and get it over with! Captain goes back to work tomorrow. Yuk. Over it.
  11. Happy New Year!! Vacationed for 9 days!!! Then came back to find out that my lab hired a new tech, and suddenly I'm expected to change my schedule now. Um... Seriously??? I'm praying so hard that my supervisor figures out a way to keep me in this current schedule. As it is, the longest I go without seeing my kids is 2 days. This would mean I'd not...
  12. Ah geeze Sorry about the bebehs. And rest that back!!! (I also vote chiro... know some peeps don't like 'em but mine got me walking again after a slipped disk broke me, so I'm partial )
  13. I do that too. It's pretty good, but really doesn't taste like potatoes to me. I can't fake myself into that one. I think I'll make lasagna casserole tonight. 1 bowl, 5 min prep, done. Not in the mood to cook tonight
  14. Is that good?? I've got the recipe but was kinda afraid to try it...
  15. I hope y'all had a MOST wonderful Christmas!!! My favorite gift-Captain came home for 3 days!! Maddie's favorite gift.... 2# of bacon... .

  17. Friday!! Sorta. 2 days of call then 3 days off. Captain gets to come home for Christmas!!!! Tying up his boat tomorrow for a few days. I've never been this excited about a Christmas before! My babies and my beautiful man AND his son on Christmas morning. What a gift I get this year!! This was the first thing I tried. We've tried superheros...
  18. I agree. He is also a perfectionist. Math comes easy, reading does not. I don't constrict him to the table for homework. As long as he's working somewhere quiet, I let him get comfortable. You should see him when he's reading at home-he's literally rolling all over the place. I also let him read silently by himself for 15 min before he reads the same...
  19. Very!! It's hard though bc her brother struggles and has to work very hard. I'm careful to give her the kudos she deserves without making him feel like he's not as smart as her. The thing is, he's sooooo smart, school is just harder for him.
  20. Madeleine got her grades... She's in 6th grade taking all 8th grade and honors classes. All A's and 1 B!!! She starts 9th grade algebra after the winter break... Crazy genuis!! She asked me what kinds of classes she'll have left when she gets to high school
  21. My toes do this when I wear my Uggs with no socks on freezing days. No idea why. Saturday it was 1 foot and it was hot, swollen and itchy. then it goes away...
