  1. I checked consumer labs that I'm a member of they independently check products for safely and claims the wolfs was rated great and bobs redmill buckwheat cereal. Ultra low gotten no dangerous levels of arsenic heavy metals, mold, yeast etc. plus they mention to refrigerate. I wonder if the raw buckwheat they rinse bc it's not toasted like kasha. Toasted removes...
  2. Interesting I read that toasted kasha groats have nutty flavor which I thought like oatmeal with banana and yogurt. Yes quinoa I have for dinner looking to switch oatmeal to buckwheat for breakfast. I have to look into amaranth
  3. The basic seems more like oatmeal. You can also add yogurt banana to it like oatmeal right. I see rinsing as first step in basic recipes like this one https://busycooks.com/how-to-cook-toasted-buckwheat-groats-kasha/ I don't understand why since kasha is toasted and not raw. What about buckwheat flake cereal or is this better to go with.
  4. What's the reasoning of washing and rinsing kasha buckwheat for 12 hrs
  5. I have been looking for brands that are ready to make areas of time as I normally hear my oatmeal 1 min in microwave every morning. It appears buckwheat requires allot of cleaning soaking longer cook times. Any eat recipes have you tried. Also what's the reason if adding lemon juice to groats? Thanks
  6. It has been a year since I started my Elimination diet from gluten. I have learned alot w/o being diagnosed (going through eating gluten for a test isn't happening) The first month or so were learning curve and I have learned to READ LABELS which are tricky as not just gluten but possibly wheat may affect you or other Gluten containing ingredients that are...
  7. During my gluten-free journey I have been reading alot about not necessarily oats have gluten but other parts in processing causing cross contamination. Bobs Redmill gluten-free oats have been good and I have heard One Degree Oats sprouted are more nutritious and gluten-free. I am curious if others had issues with ats and if so what have you switched to as...
  8. I was looking at SIBO but I don't think I fall into that category. Yes I eat meat. I don't think I'm celiac I think I am just gluten intolerant but I take multivitamin, Super B Complex, Benfo with Thiam, Thiamax, Neuromag that you suggested.
  9. As I have been mapping what I eat etc to eliminate what gluten-free foods give gas/bloating and I have eliminated protein bars with sugar. I have switched to RX bars that don't have any added alcohol sugars and what a difference it has made. Its hard to find good protein bar w/o added sugars but this has been the best I have found that doesn't cost so much...
  10. Hi Florence- This forum has been a wealth of knowledge on supplements. I am always weary of brand names as well. What I found through Consumerlabs which independently tests for metals, digestive breakdown of supplements and if what the packages states is indeed what is in the product I have found the number one for super B complex is Kirkland and for multivitamin...
  11. I noticed when eating some gluten-free foods I get increase of gas. I read it can be due to starches or sugar. But is there a particular name of the sugar or starch known to cause increase of gas to look in the ingredients to avoid. Thanks
  12. I don't know if I am getting sufficient Omega Threes. I read about phosphotidyl choline may cause heart issues. I will have o do further research on heathy Omega 3 supplements or from foods. Is there a blood test that can tell you everything level in your system such as Thiamine, Benfotiamine levels etc? Thanks
  13. What Thiamine Hydrochloride brand do you take? Is it like the other vitamins I have added? What brand Tryptophan and amount do you take. Thanks
  14. Thanks for the info. I have been taking the ones you recommended but when I saw this I was curious if it was something else to add to the journey Thank
