  1. I am sure this has been asked several times before, but does anyone recommend taking a probiotic? I was thinking of trying one but need gluten, soy and dairy free. Any thoughts on this and recommendations? Thank you!

    Chronic Constipation

Are the Senna pills safe to take on a daily basis? I believe this is considered a natural product and not a laxative but maybe I am confused on this?
  3. There seems to be very few doctors out there who understand Celiac. And I have never found one in the Southeast region of Michigan. I would love to have a doctor who understands what is happening and the challenges. Any one know of such a doctor? Not the one who has to have a biopsy as proof but one who will actually listen to the way I react. I know, I am prolly asking for a miracle!

    Calming Intestines?

Cyclinglady - I have an appt with a new Endocrinologist on June 9th. For now my family doctor is treating my thyroid. No one really knows how to treat it. When it is hyper they lower the synthryoid, when it is hypo they raise it. I can't seem to find a dose that maintains. My body is like swinging all over the place. I am moody, shedding hair, weight loss then gain, and the symptoms just go on and on. I just don't know how to regulate it and neither do the doctors. It is really making life difficult.

    Chronic Constipation

Thank you all for your help! I have heard the Miralax is a good product and may have to have that on hand. cap6 where do you buy the Smooth Move Tea? Is it available at a grocery store or health food store? These are all excellent ideas so thank you! Unfortunately, we have to have this conversation!

    Calming Intestines?

I do use a warm rice bag on my tummy when it is upset. I wish I could find something to just soothe it quickly rid of discomfort. What is the helichrysum essential oil?

    Calming Intestines?

I do have alot of other food issues. Soy is the biggest offender and then dairy. I just can't always avoid them all but try my best to. Sure isn't easy, is it?
  10. I have Celiac disease and 2 other auto immune diseases. I never eat gluten but my intestines still have absorption issues. I have trouble sometimes where my body absorbs meds too much and other times it doesn't absorb enough. Making my TSH level and calcium levels fluctuate. Does anyone else have issues with this? Also, has anyone found anything to take to keep the intestines "calm". Something to keep it healthy feeling and not feeling like you always have a stomach ache? Thank you for any help you can provide. This is a constant battle.

Looking For A Friend Who Understands

I don't live in the CA area but I totally understand how you feel. Besides not being able to eat gluten, I have multiple food issues. The main ones are soy and dairy. I also can't eat alot of vegetables or fruits. It sure can be frustrating and helps to have someone to talk to about all this. I am always willing to talk to you!!
  12. Thank you for confirming what I thought was true! Some one else mentioned to me that Rice Dream supplies Trader Joes with their rice milk. Has any one heard of this? I use Trader Joes all the time and have never had a reaction and it tastes totally different than the Rice Dream Rice Milk. Thank you!
  13. Has anyone had problems with the Rice Dream Rice Milk? I recently had this product and it made me feel sick. Their website lists the product as gluten free but they do use barley in it which they say they remove during processing. When we contacted the company, they also said their product was gluten free. Just wondered if anyone else has reacted to their rice milk? Thank you.
  14. I have spent hours calling pharmaceutical companies and have not found an oral contraceptive without lactose in them. The Demulen is no longer made and that was the only one available without lactose. Most of the estrogen is soy based also. Thanks for everyone who responded! Does anyone know of any natural supplements that would help with the discomfort of monthly cycles? Thanks again for all your help!
  15. I am trying to find a birth control pill that is gluten free, dairy free and soy free. I have called several pharmacetical companies and no one has one. Does anyone know of any? Thank you for any help you can provide.
