What is the difference between sea salt and kosher salt ......is there iodine in both??...which one is better for you??....and then there is regular table salt....why do some recipes call for kosher some sea salt and others regular table salt??..... :blink:

As you can see, the kosher salt is in larger pieces. I've seen this used in recipes where you encrust a piece of meat in it then break the salt away to serve. I should think if you tried regular salt for this you'd wind up with an overly salty dish. That being said, I've switched to Real Salt for most things. It's a type of sea salt that tastes really good.
