Baby's Biopsy

Recommended Posts

HI!

We finally did the baby's biopsy, 19 months old. She's been on wheat 96 days. Miserable days to say the least. But....

biopsy went fine. It was really easy and he took tons of samples from esphogus(I know that isn't spelled anywhere near right), stomache, and small intenstine. He came out and said this is why we do biopsies since I am looking for Celiac, I could possibly convince myself she has it based on this one spot (showed us picutes) looks like places that have flattened villa but you can only tell for sure under a microscope.

It'll take around a week to get a yes or no but he has said he felt she was a classic case that should have damage despite the neg bloodwork. SO maybe she really does have some damage and we can get a for sure dx. We went gluten free today for the whole family and the two oldest said their tummies didn't feel funny like "normal".

Dear Stacie,

I am glad the biopsy went smoothly and that you have some answers. It is great that your other kids feel better from the new diet. Sounds like a great move. Hugs Hugs to you and the family and have a great night.

Hugs,

Rosa
