So I have a question ...

If I have a celiac's genetics test done, and it comes back NEGATIVE ... I can rightfully assume I do not have celiacs disease??

NO. Gene testing is still new. In the US they commonly only check for 2 of the 9 genes known to be associated with celiac. The gene tests can be helpful but they are not diagnostic. Have you had a celiac panel done or an endoscopy? Those should be done before trying the diet. Also since both the panel and the endo have high rates of false negatives a strict trial of the gluten-free diet is in order even if the results are negative.
