Endoscopy

I had a lovely Christmas and then got a bug. I spent a few days in bed and am starting to feel better. We're going to a New Year's Eve Party tomorrow. We just moved to a new state so it will be nice to meet our neighbors. I had a nice non gluten-free cookie platter made up (I won't even carry it, DH can) and will bring a bag of veggies to munch on during the party. How was your holiday? Are you feeling better? I've decided that 2011 is the year that we're all going to start feeling better!!!!!

Sending Holiday Hugs,

Loey

P.S. Thank you about your kind wishes!!!

Glad you had a nice christmas :) Sorry about the bug but glad you are starting to feel better. Cool the party sounds great have fun :) I have to work new years eve 1st time I have worked since May lol. Christmas was good thanks :) The Endoscopy side effects have all gone so feeling a better from that . Although there is 1 cool side effect left , since having the Endoscopy I have noticed it only seems to take 1 drink for me to get drunk which is great lol. That will be great if everyone starts to feel better in 2011 :)

Happy New Year :)

Glad the side effects are gone. You will be a light weight tonight after work, won't you? I'll probably only have one glass of wine (if any). The party is just up the block so we'll obviously walk. Must have CC'd myself because today I had THE most annoying Celiac symptom. Took Immodium (TMI?). I don't want to let that stop me from going as we have only met 2 neighbors in our development since we moved here. One has 7 kids.

Sorry you have to work tonight. I used to work in the television industry (videotape editor at CBS) and I worked pretty much every holiday. Of course that didn't stop us from partying.

Wishing you a healthy and happy 2011. May we all get better!!!!!

I just drank 2 ciders and a glass of champagne at the party after work , I like how 1 - 2 drinks makes me feel a bit drunk lol. Party was good fun though :) I hope the CC symptoms are better and hope you had a good time at the party . 7 kids that's a lot lol.

I was quite happy about going to work , i'm a professional Magician :) It was really nice to work again, I had a great time entertaining guests at my local italian restaurant. That sounds like a cool job working for tv :)

Thanks :) I also hope you have a great and healthy 2011 :)

You have an odd story there. To me, the mechanical trigger suggests a mechanical problem and lower leg pain is a classic sciatica symptom. The fact that the clear mechanical linkage is no longer there does not take away from the fact that it was - maybe something shifted and the simple alignment is no longer there. There's also a good chance I am wrong and it's something else entirely. @Scott Adams's mention of shingles is interesting. It seems possible but unlikely to me, but who knows. However, I am writing here to reinforce the idea of getting the shingles vaccine. Ask anyone who has ever had shingles and they will bend your ear telling you how bad it is. I watched my wife go through it and it scared the bejeebers out of me. Even if you had the chicken pox vaccine, you really want to get the shingles vaccine.

Oddly this effect has gone now, just happened yesterday evening, the nerve pain is now back to its usual "unpredictable" random self again - but that was the only time I ever had some mechanical trigger for it, don't know why! There's no (or wasn't) actual pain in my neck - it was inside the leg, but when I looked down, now though, the leg pain just comes and goes randomly as before again.

I had MRI scan a few years ago showing everything normal, and now it's no longer triggering the nerve pain when I bow my head today - it only seemed to happen yesterday, and that was the only time it happened! Just seemed weird as no movement has caused my usual nerve pain before. It's normally just random.

Very good pizzeria with small dining room in back of the restaurant. The owner's daughter has celiac & they have gluten free pizza & a gluten free menu. Some items from the regular menu can be made gluten free also. They have a lunch menu which we ordered from & my chicken with spinach & mozzarella over gluten-free penne was delicious. They also have Tuesday night pasta specials & Thursday night chicken pasta specials. We plan on going back for dinner soon.

@Aretaeus Cappadocia and @Russ H thank you both for your helpful advice and information. I haven't seen a GI in years. They never helped me aside from my inital diagnosis. All other help has come from my own research, which is why I came here. I will be even more careful in the future.
