  2. I'm not sure I agree with 44% risk if Mom has Celiac. To be diagnosed with Celiac you genetically need HLA-DQ2 and HLA-DQ8. Despite the fact that HLA-DQ2 and HLA-DQ8 are both linked to Celiac, having the mutation doesn't necessarily mean that you'll get the disease.
