i have mentioned my boyfriend before, particularly pertaining to how supportive and cautious he has been since my diagnosis in june 2025. constantly cooking amazing gluten free meals for me, reading labels like a hawk, keeping me safe. but a new challenger has approached recently. he has been hired at kfc. he's not just a front-of-house cashier or anything...

i'm so sorry for the late reply. i am fortunately slowly getting better mentally, so that's an improvement. however i believe i lean far more toward the asymptomatic side of the coeliac spectrum, so i don't quite know how well being gluten free is healing me physically yet. it has only been 11 months and everyone heals at a different rate, so time will tell... -
i have been strictly gluten free for 7 months. this includes avoiding anything that may contain gluten and making sure surfaces and appliances are clean. i am 18 years old in australia and my tTG-IgA results were 69U/mL, pretty low compared to most people's, for reference. i feel the exact same as before. sure, i was pretty much asymptomatic/silent...

i know i've been rather cynical and sad about being fully diagnosed in june 2025, but my boyfriend has been consistently showing me the wonderful world that is gluten free cooking and baking. in the past couple of days he's made me a gluten free rice paper-wrapped spanakopita "pastry", plus a wonderful mac and cheese bechamel-ish sauce with gluten free...

as my last post stated, i was diagnosed via endoscopy on the 14th of june. i have been eating amazing home cooked meals, luckily, mainly cooked by my boyfriend who is extremely careful about contamination (and is an incredible cook at that). however, i find myself in a mental rut still. being 18, this is the time in my life where i should be exploring...

i am australian. we do have plenty of substitutes, but most are very expensive compared to the originals. i believe i'll just stick to home cooked meals and not have many treats at all. it's sad but it's just so much easier. also, ive heard far too many horror stories of people ordering gluten free food from restaurants and cafés, explicitly telling servers ... -

i'd just like to preface this by saying i have an extremely supportive and talented boyfriend who is amazing at cooking, and he's willing to go gluten free with me. i am much more privileged than a lot of coeliacs for this reason. it's just so depressing though. i turned 18 in april and was basically diagnosed via a blood test in february. i had an endoscopy...
