Think her thyroid levels were fine, she’s had various blood tests since being in hospital. Been started on B12 injections for now instead of the oral medication and more bloods taken to check for pernicious anaemia

Just an update on my daughter. She is still in hospital and getting quite depressed about everything. She had a CT scan of head and chest to rule out stroke in view of her symptoms. Thankfully there is no evidence of that so they now want to do an MRI to rule out MS so this is freaking her out and it’s not doing me much good either!!!They’re also going to ...

Hasn’t been given folic acid as GP says vit b and folic acid can’t be given together which I find strange cos any time I did venepunctures B12 and folate were always grouped together? Her folate level was 2.2, just below the normal level

Hi Thanks for your input. Don’t know which exact medication she’s on, keep asking but she keeps forgetting!!! I still think her Vitamin D levels might be low cos she had the back pain and tingling last year( around March /April) and levels were low so she had 3 month course then and it helped. She’s coming home next week (as in to ours) for a long weeke...

Hi again Sorry to be a pain but my daughter started on her Vitamin B medication a week ago, not sure what dosage as she hasn’t said. However she has been feeling much worse the last couple of days with back pain, bowel and tummy problems, blurry vision, tingling. Hi Daughter finally had her B12 checked and her level was 30, normal range 180-200 so GP has prescribed medication for 4 weeks then further blood test so that probably accounts for how awful she’s been feeling recently. Folate was 2.2 just below the range of 3.0 - 20 so will need folic acid. Think iron levels were borderline but don’t know the numbers. No...

Thanks for replying. She has anxiety so always thinks the worst!!!GP is going to refer her for a scan and hopefully getting bloods done this week. Have mentioned food diary to her before so will mention it again

She is waiting to get bloods done to check for various things including bone profile. As far as I know she does a lot of cooking from scratch, lots of veg, chicken. She’s never been a fan of processed foods like cold ham but does like bacon and will also buy gluten free sausages. Shares a flat with her friend who is aware of her coeliac. As far as I’m awa... -

Sorry not been on for a while. My daughter finally got her endoscopy results end of November and she has coeliac.
