gluten-free vegan 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2016 I need to eat a gluten free and vegan diet and I am traveling to Munich Germany, Venice, Italy and Czech republic in a few short months. I know it may be difficult to eat out, I am hoping to eat on the go. Any suggestions would be lovely! Quote & Reply
Adeling 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2017 When my now-wife and I went to Venice (where I proposed) we stumbled upon this restaurant quite by accident. They're approved by the Italian coeliac society and their food was lovely: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187870-d1320307-Reviews-Ristorante_Da_Poggi-Venice_Veneto.html But travelling in Europe (the EU) should be relatively easy because all restaurants are legally required to know what in their restaurant is gluten free and what is not. They must also be able to do the same for all other common allergens (a list of about 13). If they cannot, kick up a stink and mention the law if need-be (although if you get that far, I'd be tempted to walk out, personally). Italy and the Czech Republic (Czechia as they have recently decided to call themselves) are both EU member states. Quote & Reply
