No, you can't add it up that way. Gluten stimulates anti gluten antibodies to be made. Those antibodies are what become cumulative. 1000 mcg of B12 supplementation is peanuts. You should be taking 5000 mcg. and you should be taking a high potency B-complex to boot. The B-vitamins are seldom found in isolated deficiencies but are usually deficient as a group. Partial Positive Biopsy/Negative Serology - is celiac still possible?
I am taking 1000 mcg of B12 each morning @trents. I also eat a lot of B12 in my diet which is why I was surprised it was so low. My OBGYN (who ordered the test) said that most of her patients are at 900+ for B12, which also shocked me! I have not been tested for iron deficiency/anemia, but I will look into that.
