Glutino Pure Icing Sugar

I just bought Glutino Icing Sugar (www.glutino.com). However, it has no directions on how to prepare it since it definately needs something done with it since it is just very finely ground sugar. I was thinking of adding water, does anyone know how to prepare this? Also, I was wondering why I would buy Gluten-Free Sugar when I could use Confectioner's Sugar and make icing too...does the latter contain gluten or what is the difference of this icing?

Any help would be very much appreciated since I am hoping to prepare cupcakes this weekend.

yep, you usually add just a little tiny bit of water to get it to the consistency you want. milk is fairly common, but I've used orange juice for the flavor of it as well.

I haven't tried this particular product and am not gluten free yet- BUT!

I am a baker and make tons of icing.. some brands of powdered/confectioners/icing sugar (all names for fine sugar) have things in them to make them stay nice and powdery... these items vary, but from an icing making experience standpoint- the ones that work best are just pure sugar and cornstarch.. and that is gluten free.. I tend to buy Meijer Brand in 4 pound bags on a regular basis!

I am waiting to go gluten free until my test results come back and they do the biopsy...

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

      Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
