Gluten --> Getting A Cold?

Recommended Posts

I just got a cold for the first time in a long time. I think I had some (not much) gluten three days ago. Is there a connection? This is the first time I've gotten a cold since I started the gluten-free diet, so I'm wondering if glutenings can affect my immune system enough that I'd get a cold. It came out of nowhere.

It could have distracted your immune system enough to let you get a cold, or it could just be that colds are going around right now. (They are in my area, where it's starting to get chilly and we're getting our first wave of colds.) There's no good way of knowing.
