Newbie- Had Endoscopy/colonoscopy This Am

Recommended Posts

Newbie here.

Had my Endoscopy and Colonoscopy this morning. Truly the day before is much worse than the test itself! I was in and out before I knew it. Doctor said Colonoscopy appeared normal, but said they go ahead and take biopsies regardless of how things look. He said I had moderately severe gastritis. He took biopsies for Celiac as well as the rest of the stomach etc. Now I have to wait 3 - 5 days to get the results.

Did any of you have the gastritis with their Celiac diagnosis? Now I'm wondering what all the pain in my lower right side is coming from? ( no appendix or ovaries) Did any of you have that pain with the Celiac? Maybe it just spasms in that area?

Chances are if you have lumps on your body for years and the Dr. isn't concerned they're probably not lymph nodes. Chronically swollen lymph nodes would be something every Dr. would be concerned with.  Chances are you just have cysts ...
It's different  for everyone, it can be a month or maybe a year. Most probably within a few months. This is assuming the symptoms are in fact related to gluten, which they may not be.
Hi Laura I'm so pleased you found answers.  This is very encouraging.  Seven years on from my own diagnosis I wish I could have some vitamin and mineral screening, I'm sure I'm still deficient. Cristiana
