Can I Use Benefiber In Baking?

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

I'm in the Czech Republic and haven't seen xanthan gum anywhere :(. But, the Benefiber they sell here still contains guar gum, it says "100% partially hydrogenized guar galactomannan" so no wheat dextrin like in the US. So, my question is, can I used Benefiber in baking in place of regular guar gum? Would the "partially hydrogenized"part make this any different? It looks the same as Ben. purchase in the US.

Also, how much would I use?
