I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease about a month ago. I've been very diligent about going gluten-free but I'm still sick. I think a dietician might help -- but I have heard I need one well-versed in Celiac disease. Does anyone out there have a reference for the Northern Virginia area? thanks....

I do not live in your area, but definately recommend finding one that is well trained for Celiac's. I WASTED $200 to see a dietician that told me to stay away from gluten for 6 months and then I could try and add it back in after that if I could tolerate it.....UMMMM NO! Also she didn't tell me anything that I didn't already know from reading on here so it was definately a waste of my time and money.

Hopefully you will have better luck with one than I did!

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

      Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.

      My daughter has celiac disease and has had for a long time. She fell loses strictly gluten-free diet and recently got rid of all cutting boards in any gluten in her house at all. She just had a stool test and it came back showing of gigantic response to gluten in her diet. What could be going on since she doesn't eat any gluten and is very careful about any...
