I heard from my GI office this afternoon. I was thinking all of my counts would be low. I have been ill since my knee replacement in August. I found out i had iron deficienct anemia and got 3 ferrin infusions in Dec. I was hospitalized in Nov. my nutrition count was low and i felt so weak. 3 weeks ago i was diagnosed with celiac. I had lots of bloodwork done friday. I juststarted the gluten free diet a week ago. i don't have anemia anymore. my total iron is 46. my hemoglobin is 13.8 my calcium,B12,folate was all normal. Only a couple things were a little low, but dr. said that was to be expected. He feels things are already looking up. i see the GI Dr. in a week. I guess my blood being so thin could make me feel weak.He said it sounds like my absorption issue is looking up.
