    The topic of Gluten in Toothpaste should come up in the search function, as it was discussed quite a few times. I stick with Tom's Toothpaste, because it's Gluten Free!

    IMO, First, You need a strict gluten-free diet, Second, You need to visit a Hematologists to study your low blood count. Third, You need a General Practitioner that understands Celiac Disease. Just as important, Don't forget to visit your GI Doctor. Good Luck

    Hi JD, I have DH and just skin contact with gluten can cause a DH rash on my body. Not everyone is that sensitive.

    Raquel 2021, Has your Vitamin B-12 been checked lately? Eve the low end of the safe level can be an issue for some of us. I found that out last Friday.

    There was a time that I avoided vinegar, but I found out that I could use distilled unflavored vinegar. I hope this works for you.

    FYI, Heinz Ketchup is safe for me, but Hunts Ketchup sets off my Dermatitis Herpetiformis. Distilled flavored vinegar may be a problem if the flavoring contains gluten. Many of your questions have already been answered here. You just need to use the site search function for most of your questions .

    Saf, Were you ever tested for DH? Do you ever get symmetrical break outs on your body? My Dermatologist tested me for DH and the results proved I had it as well as celiac.

    Hakanx, If you have the type of Celiac with Dermatitis Herpetiformis and can't take dapsone as well as breaking out from skin or gut contact your Dermatologist can sign off on a disability. It is a legit SS disability as well as some employer/induvial disability plans

    Scott, I have DH and it cost me two visits to my Dermatologist, one in Florida and one in Maryland. I broke out in Maryland just before driving down to my new home in Florida and made an appointment with my Dermatologist there. By the time I was seen the rash was clearing up.     First, you never defined the amount of cross contamination. Reactions may vary widely amongst us. I happen to have DH too and it's not very forgiving. A small serving of Hunts Ketchup can cause a rash on me that may last days or weeks. My observation is that we all may react different.

    One small slice of the wrong pizza will do me in for the rest of the day/night. On top of that I have DH and the itch will follow for days. IMO a cheat day is like playing a game of suicide with your health. Good luck finding your real self, because I'm not playing a game with my health.

    I found Nature Made D3 labeled as Gluten Free and Nature's Bounty D3 labeled as No Wheat, No Gluten as well as No to several other ingredients. I've taken both brands over the years without any issues. Having DH, my body would start breaking out within a few days if they contained Gluten.

    It's not appropriate in my opinion. Is it from eating at the same restaurant? Many restaurants offer gluten free options. They are often meant for people trying to follow a healthy gluten-free diet and not those necessarily with Celiac. I've had good luck with Outback!

    I was diagnosed by my new(at the time) Dermatologist at age 56 in 09 with DH/Celiac. He did a time lime working back in my life. I was actually born with a rash and my Dermatologist thinks I was born with it. He said the book on DH/Celiac is still being written. I react to 6 other foods. I hope this helps.

    FYI, It took me over 7 years to pinpoint other foods that contributed to similar issues. IMO, if you need to ask about buying a new toaster to start a second gluten free diet you really need to read more.
