  1. Hoping everyone in CO is okay. All that flooding
  2. that's funny
  3. Again, i'm probably over thinking it. Outside of the mini-horse i met last week, I haven't been around them since before my dx. I do remember that when i used to help care for them, the grain was never dusty.
  4. I know as long as i wash my hands well after petting them and such, i should be fine.
  5. An allergy is more along the lines of hives/swelling and the like. An intolerance can sometimes cause stomach issues, joint pain, headaches, and so on. There really isn't anything you can do to prevent them. For example, i am intolerant to sweet potatoes and onions. I am allergic to tomatoes and possibly green beans.
  6. Yep. I know that the hay probably won't be an issue, but if they are fed grain it might be. Ah, that helps then. Perhaps i'm over thinking it?
  7. So any tips on being safe (gluten free wise) around them?
  8. You are not weak. Stress is something we all deal with. Can you by chance cut back and have, say, one day a week for a break?
  9. Yes, I have. When i get really stressed, it usually isn't far behind, along with a rather upset stomach. I think the issue here is that you have overworked yourself. 90 hours a week, 7 days a week, is about 12 or so hours a day. That is a lot to handle right there.
  10. I had a lot of the same symptoms (gallbladder, tummy troubles, skin issues). Was she gluten free when she was tested? That might be why it came back like that.
  11. It could just have been that you got a bad batch. It happens sometimes :/
  12. Seems like you have had the celiac blood panel. As of right now, if you have no symptoms, just keep an eye on it through yearly blood tests. A good portion of the population of the US, about 30%, have the gene(s). Many do not develop it, but some do.
  13. Did this just pop up one day? I am also very pale as well and it is rare for me to get a tan. You can still tan when its cloudy out, just like you can still get a sunburn as well.
  14. You can make a really good coffee cake with the yellow cake as well
  15. I like them and find them to be quite good Of the three, i've used the yellow cake the most. I have yet to try the cookie or the brownie.
  16. Caffeine can be hard on a healing system. I cannot handle caffeine because it causes my GERD to act up. What type of tea was it? While the others (cheese, jalapeno, and the other reation) do not jump out at me, the tea does.
  17. Everyone heals at the rate they heal at. As far as I know, there is no real way to speed it up.
  18. ...or you can give her a bit of chocolate or a nice cup of tea. Caffeine is one of the best ways to treat headaches.
  19. There is really no way to say whether or not a child will develop the disease. They could just be a carrier of the genes and never show a symptom.
  20. While i agree he shouldn't have tried to hide it, everyone makes mistakes.
  21. Peppermint helps some as well. I normally have some peppermint tums on hand and they help some.
  22. I've heard only in toddlers that the test is somewhat uncertain. I think it has something to do with how much gluten they have had and such. However, the TTG Iga test can be up to 95% accurate.
  23. No issues here. The only thing i can think of is flour in the air.
  24. Crushed rice chex maybe or plain potato chips might work.
  25. Pasta tossed with broccoli and a little parmasan cheese. Something simple.
