  1. eeek That is a good site though.
  2. what about those who where homeschooled? lol
  3. Since you were dx'd in late july, I would guess that you still have quite a bit of healing to do. That could be the reason right there.
  4. Just made some onigiri to go with dinner tonight. I'm also going to be making a veggie stir-fry. It was going to be lunch, but i had to eat something and the rice was taking a while (rinse it, soak it, cook it, steam it). My veggies are already prepared as well. So all i'll have to do is toss them in the pan and cook them. Also, I am quite happy to...
  5. The only time, from what i understand, that such conditions surface do to the connection to celiac is if someone is not following the diet. Outside of that, you have the same risk as everyone else.
  6. I have that in my fridge. I'll probably have to postpone it. That trial sauce did not go well (i tried it over noodles to see if it would taste okay). My stomach is still upset. If my stomach behaves tomorrow i may make it then.
  7. This is what i found: Open Original Shared Link
  8. I'm leaning toward carb overload as well. I know if i eat too many in a meal and such i feel tired afterward.
  9. ...yet it is still gluten and it still causes reactions.
  10. The only nightshade plant that i eat now is potatoes and that is a rarity in and of itself. I used to love bell peppers and such, but after loosing the ability to handle mildly spicy food and tomatoes, i decided it wasn't worth it. I've also recently lost onions too, so i can certainly understand the not wanting to give it up part.
  11. So, today, I thought i'd try out a potential white sauce recipe for that pizza i want to make tomorrow. The original recipe is your basic Alfredo (cream, butter and all). I used about a cup or so of milk, a fourth of a stick of butter (unlike the three sticks they were calling for), some pre-shredded parmasan cheese, and a little corn starch. Well, where...
  12. I try to stay away from it.
  13. Gluten is gluten, regardless of form. That being said, its kind of disturbing that the company has a "may contain" statement without fully disclosing it. I even went searching on amazon to find a better image of the coffee in question and it was still confusing. This being said, I am also fully not convinced that the coffee had the gluten in it to...
  14. I normally say "no thank you".
  15. Can you handle fermented foods well? As for rice flour, i normally use bob's red mill white rice flour without an issue.
  16. What you might want to do is to do a challenge with them. So, say, take a piece of hard cheese and try it by itself. Likewise, I would try a little butter on rice or something. The same goes for regular milk. That would be the easiest way to find your answer. As for the rice noodles, I do not handle them well. I can do plain rice just fine, its just when...
  17. If you are eating out, i would place the blame on cc rather than the dairy. Likewise, if you made the mac and cheese, it could be that you couldn't tolerate the pasta.
  18. Random thought, do any of you have cataracts? That would cause it to become more difficult to see at night in some people.
  19. Do you have any nerve damage in the area that has healed? I get these weird feelings sometimes in the area where my gallbladder was removed. Doesn't hurt or anything, but its very weird (twitches and whatnot).
  20. What are you doing for exercise?
  21. I use vanicream and they have a line with spf.
  22. ...or perhaps the mono was the full on trigger for it. I had symptoms for years that would come and go (a couple of times a month i think). Then i got hit with a nasty case of the flu and it developed into something much much worse.
