An uneventful inoculation

It's been a week since my latest hookworm inoculation with my usual 25 Necator americanus (NA) larvae. The skin reaction this time has been mild. As I look at it now I just see some redness and several marks, really nothing to look at. The site was mildly itchy for a few days and that was the extent of it. I was using a topical corticosteroid cream 3x a day and I expect that helped. People talk about experiencing a 'bounce' of extra energy or wellness after inoculation, but I've never noticed anything like that.

A few days ago I ordered the pipettes and vials I'll be needing for incubation and starting watching videos on how to use microscopes and what to look for when buying one. There's a YouTube channel called Microbehunter I particularly like for microscope education. I'll likely start attempting to incubate in the early new year. Amazon might deliver in a few days but those AliExpress orders will take a couple of months to arrive.

My celiac disease and ulcerative colitis happily remain in remission. Beer and pizza tonight to celebrate getting over my 3rd bout of Covid!
