A positive is a positive.  You only need one positive to go on to the next step in diagnosing celiac disease which  would be an endoscopy to obtain a intestinal biopsies.   Read this about a positive DGP IGG.  Young kids can test differently than adults:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22197936

Personally,  I only tested positive to the DGP IGA even in follow-up testing.  I am not am kid obviously, but all the celiac tests are not perfect.  That's why it is best to get the complete panel.  Often just the TTG is recommended.  It is a good test for screening and it saves the insurance companies money (it is all about the money.....hummmm).

Push for a GI referral.  Didn't he have a positive on the TTG from another lab?
