Allergies Vs Intolerance

Ok so i am thoroughly confused right now! I was told after my endoscopy that I had Celiac. When i went for my follow up my doctor said no I have gluten intolerance. HOwever, yesterday I have an allergy test done and I showed negative for wheat, barley, and oats. I am not sure I understand this? How can i have an intolerance but show up negative? Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

An intolerance and an allergy are two completely different things. You can have one, or the other, or both. In your case, you are not allergic.

I would probe deeper into the endoscopy results before deciding that you do not have celiac disease. Villous atrophy is usually a certain diagnosis of celiac disease.
