How To Be Gluten Fee?

Like many others, I have fatigue issues and doctors have been less than helpful. So I am trying things. One thing I would like to try is a gluten-free diet. I was wondering if there is a source for information when I have questions like: does it really matter if something with no gluten in it was made "on equipment that also process wheat"? What about my own kitchen? The rest of my family eats wheat and I am cooking for them. I had a increase in fatigue today after making sandwiches for my kids using wheat bread. I don't expect gluten intolerance works that quickly, but it made me wonder.
