I Need Some Help!

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

I bought a brand new bag of Namaste biscuits, pie crust & more. I had made some chocolate cake and threw away the wrong bag. I transferred the flour mix into a large zip lock...

I want some cheesy biscuits tonight and I don't have the recipe from the back of the Namaste bag.

I searched online for over an HOUR and with no luck. I found everything BUT their biscuit recipe. If ANYone can help me out, that would be great. Please though, refrain from giving me info on other types of biscuits. I've found that trying to use one flour mix with a different recipe does not yield desirable results. If anyone has a bag of it laying around or can locate this biscuit recipe, I will love you forever.

Thank You :)

btw, hi...I'm back!

btw, hi...I'm back!

I have a package of the mix you are asking about.....it's at my motorhome, and tomorrow will check to see if the recipe is on it.

The recipe on the back is for Biscuits, not Cheesy biscuits...I'm guessing that you added some cheddar cheese on top or in the mix.

Biscuits

1 1/2 cups Namaste Biscuit mix

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

2 Tablespoons oil

1/2 cup water

pinch of salt (optional)

1/2 teaspoon dried herbs (optional-parsley,thyme,rosemary,sage, etc.)

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Spray a cookie sheet or baking pan with non-stick spray.

2. Combine all ingredients well. Shape with your hands into discs about 2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick. (You can brush the tops with oil or butter if you like, too.)

3. Bake 8-10 minutes until biscuits are golden brown on the bottom.

Shortcake Biscuits

1 1/4 cups Namaste Biscuit mix

2 Tablespoons oil or melted butter

1/3 cup water

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

2 Tablespoons sugar

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a cookie sheet or baking pan with non-stick spray.

2. Combine all ingredients well. Drop about 1/4 cup batter onto baking pan or form discs about 1/2 inch thick.

3. Bake 10-15 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. Cut shortcake in half, fill with your favorite fruit and top with more fruit and whipped cream.
