Protein Electrophoresis

Recommended Posts

I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2008 at age 37 and have adhered to a very strict gluten-free diet. However, I still have immunune and GI issues. I recently had a protein electrophoresis done with some abnormal results. I would really appreciate any input. Thank you.

Alpha 1 .20 (.22-.42 range)

Alpha 2 .47 (.49-1.03 range)

Gamma .68 (.69-1.41 range)

Regarding these values, are they low enough for a doctor to follow-up on? What type of doctor should I see for these? Is the Gamma low enough to ask for a gamma globulin treatment?
