Berlin?

My hubby has decided we should take a trip to Berlin (yes, the one in Germany.) Just wondering if anyone has been? Tips? Where to find gluten-free foods? Restaurant recommendations?

Thanks.

You will be just fine, not to worry. I live in Germany and have for over 10 years. You want to stay away from any sauces and make sure all meats are served "natural." I have found there is no language barrier, too much to speak of, in Germany as most learn English and speak it quite well even when they say they don't! LOL!

I don't think I would rent a car unless you enjoy city driving. Bus works great for transpo and very reasonably priced.

You can find gluten-free foods in the grocery stores in the health aisle along with the natural foods so be very careful. Foods labeled "bio" are not gluten free. Look for "gluten-frei." Some of the bigger stores like Globus have a fairly good selection but somewhat limited.

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks so much! Looks like the trip is postponed until early May...more time to prepare!
