Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water
Known1 replied to Known1's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I found credible scientific evidence from The World Heath Organization, pertaining to nutrients in drinking-water. There are several sections within the paper regarding nutrient depleted water (aka RO water) Below is a small sample from the PDF which is linked further below. The possible adverse consequences of low mineral content water consumption... -
@trents Certainly an interesting read. That article also fails to mention the other genes that Kitty pointed out, HLA DQ 5, 7, and 9. With that said, the OP may find that article of interest as well? I decided to hit up Uncle Google to see if I could find a more inclusive test. I found two from the same manufacturer. However, I do not believe they...

Diagnosed Marsh stage 3C in January 2026
Known1 replied to Known1's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
@knitty kitty Just a quick follow up to let you know that my niacin flush is completely gone now. Thank you for the extra push to stick with the B-complex. Last week I added 1000mg of a Moringa supplement to my daily intake. I have been experiencing a fair amount of bloating and gas from that, but am sure it will pass (unintended pun) once my body adjusts... -

Diagnosed Marsh stage 3C in January 2026
Known1 replied to Known1's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
@knitty kitty For me, the flushing lasts about 10 hours and not just 60-90 minutes after consuming the vitamins. I am 10-days into taking this already. My urine is neon colored around the clock and I drink between 1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon of water per day. I'll stick with 2 a day for now, but am honestly quite hesitant to do so. I am curious, where... -

@knitty kitty Holy smokes, that Life Extension B-Complex is burning me up. My multi-vitamin already has 25mg of Niacin. The b-complex adds another 100mg on top of that. My face, neck, and ears look like the Cardinal I use for my profile pic. I have been on the b-complex for 10-days now and it seems to get a bit worse with each passing day. I think I... -
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water
Known1 replied to Known1's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I did another Google Search and found this on the GE appliance website regarding their GE® RPWFE™ REFRIGERATOR WATER FILTER 3-PACK. Just go down the QA section and type the word gluten in the search. Here are the results: As mentioned in my last post, if you plan to use a filter it is a good idea to contact the manufacturer. -

I am sorry to hear you went through that @YoshiLuckyJackpotWinner888. That could not have been an easy thing to figure out. I just used Uncle Google to perform this search: "Can water filters contain gluten?" Here is the AI overview that was returned: Yes, some water filters can theoretically contain or be processed with gluten. While rare, certain... -

Thank you @knitty kitty. I was reading some of your other posts and decided to add your preferred B-complex to my mix of vitamins. I started taking this on 2/17 and plan to continue with them until my next blood draw in roughly 5 months. Life Extension BioActive Complete B-Complex I hope you have a great day ahead. -

Pardon me, I stand corrected. I did find yet another blood test for thyroid function. TSH W/REFLEX TO FT4: 2.91 mIU/L (Range: 0.40 - 4.50) As you can see, I was within the acceptable range when the test was performed. -
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water
Known1 replied to Known1's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I am honestly not sure. Initially I was purchasing my RO water via a refill station at the same store for the past several years. My employer (at the time) also has an RO water filtration system. Thus while drinking water and coffee at home or work, I was consuming RO water. I just so happened to switch to a gallon of sealed store bought distilled water... -
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water
Known1 replied to Known1's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Initially I was going to re-post all of the threads that have people stating they drink or recommend RO water. There are just too many to post, so I'll recommend using the search feature here to find them all. There are currently 4 pages worth of posts with people mentioning or recommending RO water/filtration systems. Granted, some of the search results... -

Hmm, I think you mean the Gluten Intolerance Group®? Their website is not gig.net. Maybe it was at one point? I am new to all of this, but did find their website here: https://gluten.org/ Kind Regards, Known1 -
When the pizza was dropped off she told me it had a Udi's certified gluten-free crust. Even so, I am trying to play things as safe as possible for at least the next 6-months. With that said, I returned the two slices to my neighbor and asked her to thank her mom for the pizza. 😊 I will likely bump into my neighbor's mom sometime next week. She sh...

Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water
Known1 replied to Known1's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Thank you for your reply. I read the same thing about distilled water. Oddly, drinking that has not caused any sort of reaction in my gut. Nothing I can hear and feel anyway. 🤣 With that said, I have also switched over to spring water for drinking. My traditional go to grocery store charges the exact same thing ($1.39) for a gallon of pre-bottled sp... -
I am hesitant to post this as I have seen many people here recommending RO water. With that said, I want to share my experience and how RO water now impacts me. Three or four years ago a local store installed a RO water refill station. I had been buying gallons of distilled and spring water prior to that. I switched over to using the RO water refill station...

My neighbor's mom was diagnosed with celiac disease 16 years ago. She is a very kind person and has shared some info about local grocery stores and daily (soon to expire) meat deals. This evening she brought over 2 slices of Papa Murphy's gluten-free pizza. It looks to be topped with chicken and spinach. I asked, "aren't you concerned with cross contamination...

Safe Gluten-Free Spices and Brands: A Celiac Disease Guide
Known1 commented on Scott Adams's article in Gluten-Free Foods & Beverages
Thanks for this article. I gave a bunch of my old spices to my single mom neighbor after being diagnosed this past month. She was thrilled to find chili powder and used it that same evening. After reading several reviews on Amazon, I purchased a 28oz container of Badia Complete Seasoning for under $7.00. It is super rare to find anything on Amazon...- 2 comments

Diagnosed Marsh stage 3C in January 2026
Known1 replied to Known1's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Thanks, at that price it was a complete no brainer. I also went through the reviews and a number of folks with our ailment gave it 5-stars. It won't be here until the end of the month, which may give me enough time to finish the books I have. Also, in an effort to play it safe and see if I start feeling better again...I tossed out my remaining bananas... -

It looks like she has a couple of books that share "The Paleo Approach" in the title. I ordered this one, as the other is a cookbook. The Paleo Approach: Reverse Autoimmune Disease and Heal Your Body Thanks again for the info. -

Thanks, I had already sent you a direct message regarding bananas. Maybe just reply to that?
