  1. There may be something with which you have an issue, but bergamot oranges are citrus fruits, not grains. Gluten is only found in grains, and not even in all of them. Bergamot oil is definitely gluten-free.
  2. There have been some performance issues of late, and an upgrade was put on the board software last night. There have been some unexpected effects, including the matter of quotes.
  3. Neroli, sorry, but you look like a person of interest. 9,017 posts--when did you slip past 9,000 without anyone noticing?
  4. Morning coffee brewing. Must go fetch some.
  5. The last four posts all shared the same link (which had been provided in some older posts as well).
  6. The snow is still falling, with another 15 cm (6 in) expected. No wind to speak of, so no drifting or whiteouts.
  7. And on another wave, here in Canada, it no longer makes sense to make cents. The one-cent coin, generally referred to as a "penny," was withdrawn from circulation today. That means that banks can no longer obtain it from the mint, and businesses can no longer buy rolls of them at the bank. Most places have adopted what is known as Swedish Rounding...
  8. Labeling of wheat in Canada has been required for many years as a "priority allergen." The other gluten sources were added effective August 4, 2012, for foods packaged on or after that date. In the US, wheat must be disclosed, but disclosure of barley, rye and oats remains voluntary. Some manufacturers have a clear gluten disclosure policy. They include...
  9. Hugs to Nikki from here in the colonies.
  10. The information in the first quote is six years old. We talk here all the time about whether 20 parts per million is safe. Many argue that the limit should be 10 ppm, or even 5 ppm. The figure of 0.01% is 100 ppm. It may have qualified as gluten-free in Switzerland in 2007, but it is far higher than the accepted limit today in the EU. Canada does not have...
  11. The old server was shut down 24 hours ago. The new one was up a few hours later, but since the IP address changed, your DNS cache might remember the old one for a while. There can be deeper issues. My ISP's default DNS server, preprogrammed into the modem, is out of date and no longer refreshed regularly. I had to tweak my router to use an explicit DNS server...
  12. For those who want to, you can select multiple posts for quotation in more than one thread. Here is one from from the ingredients forum: Quotes within quotes is an advanced topic, requiring pasting and editing beyond the norm. But as shown, it can be done. If Darn won't, I can have a go at it. I don't do Photobucket like she does...
  13. To clarify the rule, you may not post a link to any site in which you have a beneficial interest. This includes any site you own, including your own blog, your Facebook page, your Twitter, and the like. It also applies to your employer's site. You may post links as long as your interest is at arm's length.
  14. The posts appear in the order you clicked on them, and you can respond to each individually by typing between the quotations. You can type after the last one. You can also type before the first one--sometimes that makes sense.
  15. Would you please tell us who said that, and provide references for the testing. In the US, caramel color is made from corn. Where did the gluten come from?
  16. lolipopins, just a thought re the Coke. Could HFCS be a factor?
