Rudi's has a $1 off coupon you can print on their site now, too. I like Udi's and Rudi's, mostly because I have a small kitchen and don't like to use up all my flour blends baking my own bread. -

I was at the one in Ft. Lauderdale in Dec. 2010, and they said they were working on a gluten-free menu. So, I had a salad. I was stunned to find a small 'g" signifying the gluten-free items on their menu. The dinner menu show it online, too. We went for Monday night football and then for lunch the next day! Breakfast IS the easiest. Original House of Pancakes has gluten-free. Here on E Coast Silver Diner has gluten-free Vans waffles. Busboys & Poets has grits that are gluten-free. I eat out 2-5x a week. Some interesting findings for me: Italian places are some of the most accommodating. They ALWAYS have steak and seafood (and they would NEVER marinate meat with soy sauce, just olive oil and herbs- if they put butter on it, I say no because of cc with crumbs in butter). FRANKLY, I avoid Starbucks ever since they came out with that gluten free orange cake or muffin thing and I went to the one by my house and they didn't have it- only certain stores were testing it out. We moved, so I went to a new eye doctor to replace my eyeglasses. I only have difficulty seeing at night or in the dark or when small writing is backlit, like on a projector. Wow. I disagree with most of what this doctor said. A "vegetarian" diet is not good for celiacs. Vegetarian includes whole grains, many of which are akin to POISON to celiacs. Many meats (most unprocessed ones) are NOT bad for celiacs, so why would you cut out meat when your diet is already so limited? This is coming from a vegetarian of 10 years, who...

I've also had Wendy's Chili countless times and never reacted. My friend loved their chili so much, he'd buy it to make chili dogs at home with it. I'm never surprised to see the people who don't eat fast food but do waste their time reading threads about it.... I personally travel a lot and am going on a 2 week road trip, so Wendy's has been a lifesaver...

Definitely request separate bags if you're ordering with glutenous people. I generally do not get sick at In N OUt and I've eaten at several in SoCal and even in Vegas.

My new favorite bread is Udi. I've gotten it at Whole Foods and at Sprout's. It does come in the frozen section, but all you do is thaw the entire loaf and LEAVE IT OUT on the counter all week to eat whenever you want! NO MORE CHISELING!!!! This is awesome to hear about the soups. I like the potato soup at chili's, well that was until the other day we found a rubber band in it. Not sure how it got there, but was quite put off by it. Chilis and red robin do also have a great gluten-free menu. Thanks it is always great to find new tips!
