FYI, I emailed Allergan to find out if their drops that I use, Restasis and Refresh, are gluten-free. This is what I heard back:

Thank you for your interest in ALLERGAN and REFRESH® CLASSIC
(polyvinyl alcohol 1.4%, providone 0/6%) Lubricant Eye Drops
Preservative Free, RESTASIS® (cyclosporine ophthalmic emulsion) 0.05%
Sterile, Preservative-Free, RESTASIS® Contacts.

We understand that you would like to know if REFRESH Classic,
Restasis® and REFRESH Contacts are gluten-free.  To the best of our
knowledge, these products do not contain corn, wheat, oats, barley, rye,
spelt or ingredients derived therefrom.

Sincerely,

I can back that up myself as I use both of these products and have for years and have never had a problem with either.  You will find that the vast majority, if not all eyedrops, will not contain a gluten ingredient.  Allergan is a pretty reputable company also.

I  also  use  Restasis  for  yeras  since  it  came  out  & never  have a  problem

Thanks for sharing Scott. Congratulations on having a gluten-free daughter as well makes me proud

My daughter is 19 and is gluten-free, and for her high school seemed to be the hardest period to deal with. Peer pressure was intense and it sometimes led her to cheat on her diet. She is doing much better with it now.

Do you have officially diagnosed celiac disease? Or are you not a celiac but gluten sensitive?
    • Gluten Free Jeff
In general I guess. I wasn't gluten free until I graduated highschool.

Welcome to the forum, @Gluten Free Jeff! Are you asking this for yourself or for someone else say, as their parent?
