Impact Of Non Gluten Allergies?

Hi - I'm trying to understand what effect non-Gluten allergies will have on my gut.  Will they have long term impact on my villi and absorption if I continue to eat these things?  I think I'm still a little lactose intolerant and have had a few reactions that I don't think are accidental glutenings since going gluten-free (Celiac) about a month ago and I'm trying to understand if this will impede my healing.

Feel free to cut the dairy out. A good portion of celiacs cannot handle it after their dx. Some are even able to add it back after a while.

 

Will it impact your healing? I wouldn't think that it would.

Hi! My son was just recently dx'd w/ Celiac and he's allergic to milk and eggs. He also has GERD/Reflux, so when he eats something spicy or acidic, it just burns really bad. I was concerned that when he had these episodes or exposure to milk or eggs that it would delay/impact the healing process (relating to celiac and the villi). They said "no"...it would not impact him and it is a separate problem in itself. Hope this helps and good luck!

      Trying to read my lab results

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.
