so before diagnosis I ate oatmeal all. the. time.  I thought I might try certified gluten-free oats in the future, but that's still a bit off.  I've never had any problem with rice, but it just doesn't have the same consistency of oatmeal.  Then reading an issue of Simply Gluten Free magazine, I saw a Bob's Red Mill ad and in the corner was Brown Rice Farina Creamy Rice Hot Cereal.  It's smaller pieces than regular rice, and you can cook it up in the microwave!  I went and bought some this weekend, and it reminds me of steel cut oats.  I'm glad I found it!

 

I'd recommend giving it a try if you miss oatmeal!
