I was just reading in Dr. Fassano's book that the rate of Celiac in China specifically is rising because of influx of American food ie. McDonalds, KFC and more expanding into china and the younger generation going away from tradition.  I would guess, at this point, the same thing is happening in India and all of Asia where American food is infiltrating.
