Cleanse And Detox Supplements?

Recommended Posts

I have eliminated gluten from my diet. However, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a colon cleanse or detox? I know there are plenty of colon cleanse products. It seems like it would be a good idea to use one to help clean out.

Your body already has a great system in place for waste removal. There is no credible evidence that these products are effective.  Your body doesn't have waste building up, as some of the proprietors of these products try to tell you, and they are ineffective remedies for non-existent conditions.  Some of the detox and colon cleanses can get dangerous, especially if you already had an existing medical condition.  Here are a few things to read:

No it would not be a good idea for the reasons Laura gave you. Just eat a good gluten-free diet with plenty of fruits, veggies, meats etc.

If your digestive system was badly compromised it is a good idea to cook those fruits and veggies for a while as they would be easier to digest that way.

Hope you feel better soon.
