Hi, I'm 15 and I just got my diagnosis a few days ago and I'm at a lost. I've been eating rice and vegtables (Not that those are bad) for the past few days and I have no idea what to eat. I've been living with this family for a month now and they arn't gluten free and they don't know what to make either. Sorry I know you probably don't want to hear my family life but it might be helpfull with questions. I'm getting off track. Sooo.. Does anyone have any good recomendations, all the ''gluten-free recepes'' they turn out to have gluten in them and that's not helpful.

Welcome to the forum, void_system!

This might help:

Gluten is a protein found only in wheat, barley and rye. Those three grains.

Are you a vegetarian or vegan. You do not mention you are eating meat, eggs or dairy.

Welcome to the forum, and I think it is great that you are doing some research on how to remain gluten-free, as this is very important for your recovery. This is a link to our gluten-free recipes section:

Feel free to ask us any questions you may have.

So, as a vegetarian and not a vegan I take it you still will eat eggs and dairy?

Thank you both. I haven't had access to the test results but will get them and post here.

The ulcers are prepyloric ulcers. Not sure if that makes any difference.

Duodenal ulcers are not uncommon either and often result from H.Pylori infections. https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/duodenal-ulcer

I had what was termed "lesions," and normally ulcers are in the stomach, rather than the small intestines. I'm not sure why they would want you to have her continue to eat gluten, since she had a positive blood test, but as her doctor said, if she is uncomfortable and having symptoms why not have her go gluten-free at this point? If her symptoms improve, it would be another indicator that she has celiac disease and/or gluten sensitivity. This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):
