Enterolab Tests All Positive, Including Genes And Malabsorbtion, What Kind Of Tests Should I Make Sure My Doctor Runs

Recommended Posts

Hi, well i just got my enterolab tests back:

Name: Kent, Kimberly

A) Gluten Sensitivity Stool and Gene Panel Complete *Best test/best value

Fecal Antigliadin IgA 57 (Normal Range <10 Units)

Fecal Antitissue Transglutaminase IgA 34 Units (Normal Range <10 Units)

Quantitative Microscopic Fecal Fat Score 726 Units (Normal Range <300 Units)

Fecal anti-casein (cow's milk) IgA antibody 20 Units (Normal Range <10 Units)

HLA-DQB1 Molecular analysis, Allele 1 0201

HLA-DQB1 Molecular analysis, Allele 2 06xx

Serologic equivalent: HLA-DQ 2,1 (Subtype 2,6)

I called my doctors office. That was an awkward call.

Me: "i had tests done through an independent lab, for celiac and they all came back positive".

Woman: "but how did you get the tests done with out the doctors consent"

me: Well it was an independent lab, and i paid for it myself.

So, doctors appointment monday.

Now my doctor was the one who diagnoses me with IBS "symptoms," and thought i might have celiac's but decided against running test for it because i have a normal BMI. even though i was exhibiting practically all of the symptoms.

She clearly isn't an expert on celiac. I know she might just schedule me an appointment with a specialist. But i have no idea what she'll do, or even if she will believe the results from enterolab.

The main thing that i've been on a fairly strict gluten/casien/soy free diet for months. So it's not that i don't know how to deal with that.

I'm fairly concerned about the malabsorbtion. Which seems pretty high.

When i go see her on monday, what tests should she run, is asking for a vitamin level check a good think to do?

Thank in advance
