Tocopheryl Acetate

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help me make sense of this?!?!? I'm only 3 weeks gluten-free, and my head is spinning. I just went out and bought a bunch of Burt's Bees stuff that was listed as "gluten-free" on their website. Then, when I got it home, I noticed Tocopheryl Acetate as a listed ingredient on some of the labels. I thought Tocoherol and Tocopheryl Acetate were very questionable indeed. I'm so confused!!! Help!!! Do they NOT contain wheat in this case because Burt's Bees listed them as gluten-free - or are they still potentially questionable?

According to an email I received in the last 6 months or so from Burt's, their Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate) is from soy.

Hope this helps.
