Ok, not sure if I can post this so here it goes!

I buy chex all the time, it is breakfast everymorning. I always pay $2.98 - $3.25 per box at Walmart. Well since today is pay day and I needed to buy a few things I found my cereal that was priced at.......... $1.66 per box! ok that is a good price, not sure why. I confirmed with 2 people that this was correct. I live in CA so not sure if it is statewide or nationwide but wanted to post. $1.66 per box! Crazy =) hehehe I bought 3 =P

I just happened to be at Walmart last night, and just happened to need some Rice Chex, and did at least a triple take when I saw the price. I thought it must be wrong. I'm in Minnesota, and it was $1.66 here, too. Brought home 6 boxes. Wanted to get more, but felt a bit greedy.

hehe maybe I will go back tomorrow =P right on, so it is nationwide price. It could be worng people, get it while you can lol jk =)

I will probably go back and get a few more just to save some money. What is the usual price in MN?

Also, look up online, printable coupons for the Rice Chex, they're available for 1.00 off 2 boxes. You can print and use as many as you want per 2 boxes.

later-sorry, I looked it up and the coupon was on last week. They have new items this week. There is a coupon for $.55 off enjoylife products though. couponsdotcom

Sorry so slow; it's usually somewhere between $3.15 and $3.65. $1.66 is rockin' - can't believe I actually went to another Walmart for science fair supplies for the kids and forgot to grab a few more boxes!

i just went to stock up on Rice Chex and the shelf was empty...surprise surprise! the price said $1.66 so i went to the customer service desk to inquire how long the sale is going on for. (i also asked for a raincheck but was told they don't offer them.)

silly me to think they'd be able to help me...this is Walmart we're talking about. <_< no one could tell me for sure if this is a sale price or if they just "rolled back" the price permanently. nor would they have someone go check the back to see if there was any more left. i did have the option to wait around for an hour until the night stockers came in or come back tomorrow.

the clerks seemed to think this is NOT a sale price and it'll be around for a while...we'll see when i go back in a few days!

Definitely worth speaking to your gastroenterologist about this. My own told me that by using Gaviscon a barrier forms over the contents of the stomach and stops gas and acid irritating the throat.  In fact, he said to me that because I found relief using Gaviscon that was a very clear indicator that reflux was the cause of that particular issue.   A wedge pillow will really help with this - or raising the top bed legs with bricks.

I did get the pneumonia vaccine about 4 years ago. I had this amazing allergist who did all those vitamin deficiencies test and told to get that vaccine. Unfortunately she retired.  I haven’t been to an allergist in a few years,  I’m not sure what my levels are now. I did have a pulmonologist who wasn’t concern and said I seemed fine to him that I was young etc. But yes I think I should at the very least get a different opinion. Thank you for your reply

Yes I do have acid reflux. I’m not on anything for it at the moment. I sometimes wonder if that’s what it could be because I get heart burn every night. I may revisit my gastrointestinal doctor again. Thanks for the reply

Hi @HelloFlowersGoodbyeFlour I wonder if you suffer from reflux, as if you do, you may find it could also be irritating your airways.  I shall explain: I have to use a blue inhaler from time to time, and it seems to be related to reflux.  Never had any trouble before my coeliac diagnosis, the reflux seemed to be something that developed following a holiday to France in 2019, where I had been exposed to gluten.    The reflux continued into the autumn and winter, my throat itched to begin with, particularly after meals, but it then that feeling of irritation seemed to spread to my lungs.  I even found it difficult to breathe on occasion. What stopped it in its tracks was using a wedge pillow at night, following a reflux diet (you can find them online), not eating 2-4 hours before bed and also having a dose of Gaviscon Advanced at night, which forms a barrier so that acid/food can't go back up your esophagus.  The throat irritation faded, and then I found it easier to breathe again. Just mentioning in case it could be a contributing factor.

Since initially getting your D checked a few years ago, has it since rebounded to normal levels? Sounds like at some point you got it checked again.
